What Our Customers Think About Us

Are we meeting our goal of becoming the number 1 place to shop for T1 lines in the world?See what our customers have to say about their experience with us:

"Selecting a provider was simple because the work was already done for us. We're saving more than we thought we could thanks to shopforinternet.net."

Todd Leishman
Director MIS
Allwest Plastics

"We found shopforinternet.net via a Web Search in Google while shopping for reliable/competitive T-1 lines. Adam Edwards, a shopforinternet.net consultant, asked me questions without selling anything and then delivered an array of options with pros and cons for each. I've dealt with many types of vendors as a "decision maker" for multiple companies and shopforinternet.net is a model for success. Needless to say we are in the process of converting all of our data lines throughout the country with the help of shopforinternet.net."

Todd Kawai
Controller
Sierra Engineering

"shopforinternet.net provided us with multiple options allowing us to compare quotes and select the best service for our needs. We were also pleased with the post-sales support shopforinternet.net gave us when we needed help getting our rebates and coordinating our provisioning."

Joju Sebastian

"The nature of our business demands a reliable T1 service. shopforinternet.net helped us find aTier 1 service provider and negotiated a lower price than the vendor would have given to us if we went direct.

Sunder Isaac
Registrar4less.com

"We found shopforinternet.net to be a very convenient and cost effective way to find new Voice and Data Service. Within 1-2 seconds there were quotes from 5-6 different providers. The shopforinternet.net folks were very helpful in explaining the pros and cons of the different services they were representing."

 High-Speed DSL

Written by: DirectGlobal Communications - Sep 6, 2008

At the customer premises, a DSL router or modem connects the DSL line to a local-area network (LAN) or an individual computer. The modem also organizes the aggregate data stream created by multiplexing downstream channels, duplex channels, and maintenance channels together into blocks, and attaches an error correction code to each block. The receiver then corrects errors that occur during transmission up to the limits implied by the code and the block length. The unit may, at the user's option, also create superblocks by interweaving data within sub-blocks; this allows the receiver to correct any combination of errors within a specific span of bits. This allows for effective transmission of both data and video signals alike.

To create multiple channels, DSL modems divide the available bandwidth of a telephone line in one of two ways -- Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) or Echo Cancellation. FDM assigns one band for upstream data and another band for downstream data. The downstream path is then divided by time division multiplexing into one or more high-speed channels and one or more low speed channels. The upstream path is also multiplexed into corresponding low speed channels. Echo Cancellation assigns the upstream band to over-lap the downstream, and separates the two by means of local echo cancellation, a technique well know in V.32 and V.34 modems. With either technique, DSL splits off a 4 kHz region for POTS at the DC end of the band.
